Better late than never ...
Where We Are: Coming off of a come-from-behind shootout loss that salvaged a point against Edmonton, the Rangers have just one win in their last five games. After a light practice Tuesday, some of the guys (Colton Orr, Brandon Dubinsky, Scott Gomez and Chris Drury) addressed season subscribers at a two-hour long politically correct forum. They joked about the power play but certainly understand that it is a problem so hopefully there will be some improvement there. Orr said he looks out for the other team's tough guys so don't be surprised to see him and Brookbank or Clarkson go at it.
Where They Are: They've lost three of four but it has nothing to do with their goaltending. The young Oiler goaltender who stood on his head against us did the same thing against them the night before and the other losses were to Detroit and Buffalo, both extraordinary teams.
Who To Watch For: Bobby Holik has always plagued us, Patrik Elias has some crazy skills and Zach Parise is scary good for the son of a former Islander (even more reason to hate him).
What To Watch For: John Madden shutting down Nik Zherdev and the very possibility that Kevin Weekes plays like he did when he took Carolina into the playoffs, rather than the way he did when he lost his job to Hank.
What We'll (Hopefully) See: The Rangers pick apart all of the flaws that Weekes showed while he was a Blueshirt. And a revival of our power play would be really nice ...

As always, I recommend people check out Sam Weinman's Ranger Report for up-to-the-minute updates on our boys. Sam really is the best of the beat guys covering the Blueshirts.
