The Sabres acquired goaltender Mikael Tellqvist to fill in for Ryan Miller. Tellqvist has backed up Henrik Lundqvist on the Swedish National team and isn't a terrible goaltender. He is 29 years old, survived some bad Toronto teams early in his career and has been solid as Ilya Bryzgalov's backup. Tellqvist started just 13 games this season and has a 2.86 gaa and a .907 save percentage. In his first season with Phoenix ('06-07) he was prone to melt downs which he has pretty much kicked that tendency.

Tellqvist is no Miller and really isn't any more of a starter than Patrick Lalime so you can pretty much expect Lindy Ruff to ride whoever gets on a hot streak.
