Peepin' Foes: New Jersey Devils

The Rangers head to MSG West tonight to take on the New Jersey "doesn't care about the" Devils at 7 pm. It's on Versus so you folks out there with Direct TV are screwed. Sorry.

Where We Are: 1-1. The Blueshirts looked great in a loss and bad in a win and are playing their third game in four nights.

Where They Are: The Devils played just one game and got spanked by the Flyers 5-2. Ray Emery looked a lot better than Mmmmaaaarrrttttyyyy, who gave up several goals past his glove side and struggled with his angles all night. That a Jacques Lemaire-coached team allowed five goals is just mind-blowing.

Who To Watch For: They without Patrik Elias who is still rehabbing his groin but they still have Parise and Zajac. Brian Rolston looks revitalized - maybe because he isn't paired with the slow-footed Brendan Shanahan - and Ranger-killer Jamie Langenbrunner is still around.

What To Watch For: Hank has out-dueled Mmmmaaaarrrttttyyyy in the recent past but Mmmmaaaarrrttttyyyy won't have to contend with Sean Avery so he may be more dialed in. (Avery said over the weekend that he is targetting the Washington game to make his season debut.) But see if Lemaire can tighten the ship, while Torts can keep the Rangers playing his wide open attack style.

What We'll (Hopefully) See: A power play goal. Mmmmaaaarrrttttyyyy to get pulled. David Clarkson to get smacked around. The BMV Line (Brandon, Marian and Vinny) to continue to drive to the net and keep up their scoring ways. Redden and Rozsival's mistakes not end up in the Ranger net. Less odd-man rushes. More Ranger fans than Devils ... oh wait, no need to hope for that as it is a certainty.
